This year (2006), I decided to finally make that Edward Scissorhands costume I'd been considering for the last few halloweens. I only had about 9 days to whip it together so it's not quite as prop-replica-accurate as my fanatical perfectionism would have liked, but it was passable.
I'm probably going to put this costume on again and take some better photos in a few days. I had to lug all this stuff on a train from NJ to NYC for a party and I thought I'd have 2 hours or so to get ready, but that turned into about 30 minutes so the makeup is kind of botched, plus I ended up leaving half of the straps and buckles off of it.

My girlfriend was She-ra. Check out the awesome headdress she made!

The hands were all made from raw, flat sheetmetal (the last scraps of the fridge I tore apart for the bed of my pickup truck). Add a little bondo, spraypaint and miscellaneous accessories and voila....scissorhands.
